An edible mint plant which is scented like basil! Easy to grow, it goes well with tomatoes, or in salads.
Apart from its edible nature its square, red tinged stems hold green leaves and purple-mauve flowers from July to August. It grows up to 50cm tall, but like all mints, does spread a lot, so is best grown in a contained area or in a pot.
It likes a moist, fertile soil in full sun.
