Veronicastrum virginicum 'Fascination'
A bushy, upright perennial to 160cm with branched flower-spikes of a deep, purplish pink colour. The flowerstems often get a goose-neck effect, where they get interesting kinks in their stems. The flowers can be seen en-masse from June to August. Generally sturdy, but once the plant is in the ground a few years, it can benefit from either being cut back or split, to prevent the masses of stems falling over.
This plant likes a rich, moist soil in sun.
