An ornamental oregano with masses of flowerheads which dangle, hop-like. The flower heads are made up of layers of papery bracts which start of green, maturing pink and elongating with time. The true flowers are small and pink, peaking out of the papery bracts from June to September. This plant is best grown in a pot or the edge of a rockery where it can tumble over the edge. It grows to 30cm tall.

This plant likes a free-draining soil in full sun.
