Penstemon digitalis 'Joke'
A semi-evergreen, bushy perennial to 100cm. Maroon-flushed dark green leaves are held on black stems which also carry plenty of tubular, pale purplish-pink flowers from June to August. A Dutch variety called after the breeder’s wife rather that the English word ‘Joke’. Like all penstemons, this is makes a great cutflower.
